Born in Santiago, Chile, and trained for seven years under the guidance of the celebrated Norwegian master Odd Nerdrum, the artist shapes the canvas through a dramatic use of chiaroscuro and the strict aesthetic principles of the classical tradition. A proponent of the "Kitsch" philosophy understood as the celebration of timeless human dramas, Salvo cuts through the darkness with blades of light to reveal sculptural bodies, intense faces, and deep allegorical narratives. chioma scura nel buio,

Volti specchiati,

pelle di gesso e ombra,
